these rays at sunset are so strange, no one has told me yet just what causes them, this is almost due north, so maybe the polar ice or what? It happens when the sky is dark, and the sun is rising or setting, the sun in this pic is to my back 

this little owl was caught in our green house, took awhile to get him out, he is a Northern Saw-whet owl
